Is neonatal mind an immature input-chewing device passively overwhelmed by a new world of sensations?
Or the newborn brain is already equipped with a priori machineries to detect regularities and create sophisticated predictions?
This kind of conundrum is at the basis of my research interest which I am currently developing with multimodal paradigms and neuroimaging techniques (fNIRS, EEG).
Actually I am a PhD student at the Institute for Advanced Study in Pavia and a (permanent) visiting student at CIMeC. During my BSc + MSc, I studied philosophy and epistemology relentlessly, but even Kant nowadays would be intrigued by Scikit-Learn, Matlab and other fancy transcendental tricks. In free time I like to worn out my shoes on mountain paths and write elusive bios.
