Chiara Capparini conducted independent studies in the lab in 2014/2015, during her master student program in Cognitive Science. She contributed to the investigation of the predispositions to visual perception of biological motion in human newborns, making use of functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). Chiara had previous experience in clinical care of children affected by neuropsychiatric diseases.
