Matteo Caffini is interested in functional near-infrared spectroscopy, data science and scientific computing. He is responsible for the functional near-infrared spectroscopy studies, instrumentation and data analysis.
He received a master degree in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Physics from Politecnico di Milano. During his PhD program he was awarded a Rocca fellowship and conducted research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before joining CIMeC, he worked at the Department of Physics at Politecnico di Milano, at the Department of Electronics, Informatics and Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano and at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital.
